4 "new" Parson Chairs With Skirt In Beige Fabric Review

I purchased these chairs on October 27, 2007. It is March 20, 2010. These chairs did not even last 3 full years and they were not under warranty. A brief background before continuing with the review because this is important to note: My family is not destructive nor is hard on furniture, I am 5'9" and only weigh 135 lbs and my children are not over weight. My children practically fell through the chairs and somehow I was able to sink in the cushion on one side of a chair! I was afraid the springs would poke through the fabric and stab my children so all the chairs now sit in the garage waiting to be tossed out for bulk trash pick up.

I continuously had to clean my floors around the chairs due to black powder around the legs of the chairs. I assumed the black powder came from the bolts that connected the legs with the poorly constructed seat. The cushion of the seat sinks down into the chair because there is no wooden slat crossing the seat to stop the "sinking in." I had also found a few slivers of wood on the floor.

The trim on the chair's back is a track of what appears to be faux metal. On some of the chairs the trim is not placed on the back evenly and a few of the faux metal parts appear punched in. Because the trim was not constructed using separate tacks, the chairs look really cheap. I was embarrassed having these chairs in my dining room. I have furniture in my home that has lasted well over 11 years and I am extremely disappointed with my purchase of these chairs. I will never buy chairs over the internet again because it is impossible to assess the quality.
