Prepac Sonoma Black Buffet / Console Table Review

Let's be real here - at this price you aren't buying fabulous well-made furniture. What you DO get for the money is a large console/buffet which looks pretty good.It's average quality particle board and the back piece is painted cardboard - but the cardboard isn;t structural so it's fine.You can also leave the back off if you prefer. I just finished putting mine together and the drawers slide well, the finish is nice and it's perfect in my crafts room.It would be equally at home in a dining room, entry way, or any other room.All the parts were included.The instructions were fairly good, meaning I was able to put it together in about three hours.I'm happy enough with it that I'm buying another one.

Bombo Modern Bar Stool - Black Leather (Set of 2) Review

The chairs were received with no real instructions. When the chairs were assembled,the piston, which is supposed to activate the height adjustment,would NOT activate.Further,the stitching is obviously glued, and not sewn.There is no way these chairs would be sold to anyone for the stated 'retail amount' of $460.00 as claimed by the Vendor. The leather was also scratched upon arrival.

There is no padding in the seats.The chairs are a poor knock-off manufactured in a sweatshop in some 3rd-world country and imported by a slickster charging a high markup.

We contacted the Vendor.He stated he would make arrangements from Fed Express to have the chairs returned.I wasted an entire day waiting for Fed Express - eventually I contacted Fed Ex and they informed me the vendor had contacted Fed Ex in order for the vendor to get 'his' refund, but that he had made NO arrangements to get the items picked up from my home.

Vendors of such dubious reputation should not be allowed to sell on Amazon.

Pasted is a response from the vendor:

Its out of our control, when Fedex drivers are gonna come.

We are not Wal-Mart you cannot buy and just return.

for this item.Awesome marble table that is all natural beauty.Very nicely constructed furniture.

Linon Chelsea Kitchen Nook Corner Unit Review

I liked this the 1st time I saw it, something about it just catches your eye.People always compliment me on it and thats always a good thing.

Its fairly easy to put together but with at least two people it will go smoothly.One person can do it but its frustrating.

One good point is there is a long and short side which can be disassembled and reversed.So that way it can fit in any corner. I have switched mine at least 3 times in different apartments.

Its sturdy but not very comfortable with long sittings.

The seats open up and there is storage inside them

Its relatively light weight, I believe mines made of pine. My cat loves to sharpen her claws on it so one thing to think about if you have cats lol

I specifically purchased this stool to match 2 others I already had, after a kitchen remodel. To my disappointment, it arrived with one of the base supports completely broken off. I wanted to return it to Home Decorators, but they always make it very, very difficult. Set of Two 29"H Soho Bycast Leather Barstools Review

I've had these barstools for a day or two now, and after assembling them and testing them out I'm definitely glad I got them. They are really high quality, and the seats are very comfortable.

Setup was easy enough to figure out, luckily, as the instructions were poorly translated and I believe referred to an older model.

My only real complaint is that the cross members don't align perfectly, and need to be rotated a bit to get a snug fit.

I'd also recommend the use of a power drill to put the screws in, as you'll want them nice and tight. I wasn't able to get enough torque from just a simple screwdriver.

Overall though, these chairs were a great find and I'd recommend them to anyone who wants a really sharp looking and comfortable barstool.

(Sidenote: the seats are real leather. Don't listen to that other review.)

Prepac Slim CD, Multimedia Storage Rack - MA-0160 Review

Once you get past the hurdle of assembling this multimedia tower, you'll be very glad you bought this product. It is relatively attractive compared to other media storage racks for sale and it does look rather well even when loaded to capacity. I am amazed at how little space it actually takes up while holding so much media.

Moreover, the shelves are adjustable so you can choose to store just CDs, just DVDs, just VHS tapes or whatever. You can also adjust the shelves so that part of the tower stores one type of media while the other sections store other types of media.

If you are not mechanically inclined I recommend you get a friend or even a handyman to help you. I had a handyman help me because I am "all thumbs." SMILE He made faster progress after I suggested that we stop reading the cryptic directions and just follow our instincts about how it should be assembled. The directions are rather vague.

The shipping charges are high and it is heavy; but it's still worth it. In order to hold 160 CDs or 65 DVDs you need a good sized storage rack or tower. (The dimensions are: WxHxD: 13x51x8.75 inches.) This results in higher shipping charges and a heavier storage rack. Nevertheless, it's a miracle the manufacturers could design it to take up so little space! It comes in black and a light shade of wood.

The instructions are vague and therefore I can only give this product four stars. The manufacturer needs to write clear directions so that anyone can assemble this tower.

Overall, I recommend this multimedia storage tower as a great way to store CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes and more. It costs a little more with the shipping charge but it's worth it. It does look like real furniture and this is a must for those of us who have collections of CDs, DVDs and/or VHS tapes.

24"H Windsor Back Swivel Barstool Review

Once assembled, these are very attractive, sturdy barstools and the swivel mechanism is solid and smooth.The stools arrived with the seat/seat-back intact.The base consisted of two assembled sides (pairs of legs) with 4 spindles to go between the pairs, and the top board/swivel base that the 4 legs insert into from the bottom and the swivel mechanism attaches to the top.

The assembly instructions that come with the stools would have you assemble the four legs then attach them to the top board.DO NOT try to do it in this order.The four legs all angle inward.The holes they fit into on the swivel base are all a tight fit and angle inward as well.If you assemble the legs first they will not fit into the holes on the swivel base.Start by figuring out how the two pre-assembled pairs of legs best insert the swivel base (these are still a tight fit as they angle inward as well, but with all three stools, I got this to work), partially insert them so that they can still move a bit, then fit the cross spindles between the two pairs (all upside down to this point).Once the legs are all connected, flip the base upright, place a folded up towel over the top board/swivel base, and hammer the base tightly onto the legs.From there you can proceed to attach the swivel mechanism to the swivel base (take care to make sure the the 'front' indicator is on the up-side) and then attach the seat to the swivel mechanism (upside down again for this part and rotating the base to tighten each screw into the seat through a hole in the swivel base).Please note that though there were pre-drilled starter holes for the swivel plate screws in both the base & seat, they were not large or deep enough.Either drill them out a smidge or be prepared to use a LOT of elbow grease to tighten these screws.

So the assembly was NOT fun -- but the end result are some very nice barstools at a very reasonable price!

Very fast shipping - delivered a week ahead of schedule.

Good packaging - arrived via FedEx a few days after order - boxes in great shape and packaged well.

Worksmanship - seems ok - the wood is stained evenly and the craftsmanship is average or above (especially for the money)

Appearance - great - the stools look great and are really quite sturdy (the splay of the legs is adequate for stability)- and the feel of the fabric/pvc is good - it doesn't feel plastic-y or slippery to sit on, but more leather-like to the touch.There isn't a load of cushion on the seat, but it's enough for comfort.The tone of the wood is lighter than in the picture, but I have mission red oak furniture, so this worked out to my advantage as it matches quite nicely.The stools are much bigger width-wise than they appear they would be in the stock photo and are quite comfy to sit on - you don't feel like you'll fall off like you sometimes do on the backless stools.

I've seen similar stools that don't swivel selling for much more elsewhere so it seemed like a good deal.All in all - this was a very good buy and I am pleased and impressed as usual :o)

We got this EXACT set at a local furniture store for about $85, so don't buy it at this price (you'll also have to pay shipping).EVERY furniture store has this set.It's a good little set.It's easy to put together, serves it's purpose, and is pretty easy to wipe clean.It does, however stain very easily.Spaghetti sauce, mustard, blueberries, and anything with color will permanently stain it because the wood is so light.My mom brought over a scented candle once and it was on the table for about five minutes an I now have a big red circle there forever.This is good for a starter table, but I wouldn't recommend it for very long-term use.

This table set looks just awesome. The picture does not do any justice for how sharp it looks. I also checked around and this set on Amazon is almost 1/2 the price you'll find everywhere else.

I put everything together by myself which is ill advised. The directions were very straight forward and easy to understand. It was just very time consuming. I think it took me about three hours from in-the-box to having it all set up and cleaned up (boxes and styrofoam).

The chairs could be a little more comfortable. The cushions aren't that great on them; although, it's far from being uncomfortable. That is just something I would improve if I had to pick something.

One more thing is that the chair legs on a couple of the chairs are uneven. There are little screw caps on the bottom of the legs that you can adjust to even them out but one of them I have to unscrew almost all the way out to level out the chair to keep it from rocking. Not a big deal except its so far out that it fell out when I moved it into another room. I think I am just going to get a bolt to put on the screw that will sit between the cap and the chair leg so I can screw it in tight. As big of a deal as I make this sound it really isn't at all. It is still a really great set that I can confidently recommend to anyone.

I purchased this table as my Christmas gift to myself and I love it!I was worried about how the table would arrive, giving some of the other reviews.However the table was in perfect condition.I looked over the entire set making sure there weren't any defects. I could not find anything!Plus it shipped within 2 days and arrived at my home in about a week!

The table was very easy to assemble,(but maybe that was because I have put together alot of furniture before).It took me maybe 30 minutes tops.Assembling the chairs was a tedious job, but I guess it needs to be to assure they are secure.

The color looked wonderful to me.I thought it looked very similar to the web pictures.

I have a small 2 bedroom apartment so this table was the perfect size and it adds a wonderful touch of elegance to the apartment!

Microfiber and Wood Bench - Cherry Review

I bought this bench for my entryway, and I'm really happy with the purchase. I can fit 4 pairs of shoes/boots underneath it. It's comfortable to sit on, and feels sturdy. I also didn't find it too difficult to put together. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I'm glad that I decided to get this bench (together with two microfiber ottomans) instead of a shoe rack. The color of the wood is very pretty. It is not as dark as it appears in the picture, but it isn't light either.
