Oak Finish Drop Leaf Table with 4 Oak Finish Dining Chairs! Review

When everything was assembled, which was quite time-consuming, we noticed the front leg of one chair did not touch the floor, making it wobble.I measured each leg and they were the same length which meant that the chair was not "square".Due to health problems I was unable to do anything about it right away.When I was able, several months later (less than 6 months), I contacted the company.

We sent several messages back and forth, but their only offer was to SELL me a set of two chairs for $127.88.Having already spent nearly $500 on this tiny set, I was not interested in spending even more money! They refused to simply exchange one chair, which I felt would have been the proper thing to do since IT WAS DEFECTIVE.

I had my first dinner using my new dining set and one of my guests nearly had his plate in his lap!There are no locks on the sliding pegs which allow the leaves to fold down.We find ourselves checking these pegs regularly to make sure they are tight since they become loose over time.

So I find myself with a wobbly chair and leaves that have the potential to fall at any time.This really takes away from the enjoyment of this dining set.

I cannot recommend this product or this company.

I rarely order "bolt together" furniture, but the cost of a similar looking set at my usual furniture store (offering 'underprices') was nearly double, so I took a chance and ordered this 5-pce contemporary dining set to replace a traditional-style oak set.A day or 2 after order placement, I received a call to confirm my order and provide delivery details.The set arrived on time (within 7-10 days of order).After carefully removing each piece from the double box and impact foam it was packed in, I noticed a couple of minor blemishes caused by movement during shipping. Fortunately, the blemishes are in places that aren't noticeable after assembly.The set is made entirely of furniture-grade hardwood (no cheap particle board) and the parts bolt or screw together.Assembly took me 2 hours at a relaxed pace.All hardware (nuts, bolts & washers) and an Allen wrench is included.Additionally, for assembly, you'll need a Phillips head screwdriver and (optional) wood glue for the dowels. I've been using the set for several days and am pleased with it.Only negative comment I have it with respect to the screws used to fasten the seating pads, which I found to be too long.The instructions call for use of 1-1/2" screws (incl.), but, when screwed down, these can be felt when sitting...OUCH!Fortunately, I pushed down on the seating pad with my hand and felt the sharp screw before I made the mistake of sitting on it.I ended up using the shorter screws (incl.) for affixing the seating pads and the 1-1/2" screws to fasten the stretchers to the front and rear legs of the stools, which is the reverse of what the instructions tell you to do.An easy fix.Compared to other similar looking, comparably priced, but sometimes lesser quality sets I saw, this 5 pce set represents a very good investment, which I'm confident will provide years of reliable service and will hold up to daily use by my family of 4.

This is a knockoff of the "real" Emeco 1006 chair, but it's a good quality one. The welds around the seat are sanded clean, the legs are an integral part of the seat, the bends feel clean, and the finish is real brushed aluminum, not brushmark paint. Your designer friends will still be able to tell you didn't spring for the real thing because it has 5 slats at the back (vs 3 in the Emeco) and 1 slat on the bottom brace (vs 2 in the Emeco). But for $125 vs $375, I'm willing to make that sacrifice.

This table is amazing.I can't believe the quality and craftmanship of this table.It is solid wood and the cushions are already built into the chairs.This was one of the selling points for me because when you have to buy the pads you put on the chairs they never stay in place and don't feel right.

This is a great little table that fits in the breakfast nook.It is not a huge table, it is just right for smaller families.The table and chairs are very sturdy, durable, and solid wood.The finish is a great color that would match just about anything.

This comes in one box when it is delievered.It says will be delievered within two weeks of your order date but I got it in 3 days!Very fast delivery!The table was easy to assemble and once I got the first chair assembled, the other three were easy as well.

Farmhouse Dining Bench Review

I bought 4 of the benches.They were sturdier than I thought and were a breeze to put together.I spent more time throwing away the packing materials than actually screwing the legs on.They are level and made of a heavy material so they don't tip over easily.I can push them under the kitchen table instead of having regular chair backs cluttering up the room. Plus you can squeeze an extra person in at the table without having to push chairs about. Good value for the money.

I bought these chairs for a Christmas present for my Wife.When we opened the boxes and removed the chairs from the boxes, we noticed a significant amount of damage on the legs caused mainly by shipping.At closser inspection, we also found poor craftmanship such as excessive glue on some of the joints, as well as the bolts that were sent were not long enough to fasten the front legs. I e-mailed the factory and after sending several pictures of the problems that have agreed to take the chairs back.I am waiting for them to send me a return shipping lable which they agreed to do but have not received it yet.I certainly will not purchase any additional items from this vendor.

7PCS Granite Top Dining Table & 6 Black Parson Chairs Set Review

A friend of mine purchased this table because the description said it was granite.However, the tabletop is not made of granite.It is marble and the color is imperial. The top is made of 2"x5" marble rectangles, not a full slab.

The set arrived in a timely manner and was fairly well packed, but one underside corner of the tabletop was chipped, but it's not really noticeable.

The screw packs for the chair assembly have stickers on the bags but they were marked wrong so care had to be taken to use the right length screws according to the directions. But assembly went fairly smoothly regardless.

I'd recommend this set, but only if you know what you're really getting.

I purchased this item, and it came and was beautiful. The table is very sturdy and has that shiny polished wood look. The chairs however are my issue. They look nice when set up, but are not sturdy or secure when sitting on them. The wood that is used to support the bottom where you sit, is very weak, and when my thin and older parents sat on it, they both buckled and broke in the same spot, The stress area of the chairs are in the middle. They break easily. This is a great set, just the chairs need to be reinforced on the bottom where you sit.

These chairs have a very big visible screw and washer holding the arm to the back.This is not shown in the photo.There should be a wood plug covering the screw head.The hardware shown in the diagram was not the hardware enclosed and the screw that holds the seat to the back would come right through the back wood if screwed in all the way.Does not look like the picture!!!!

I purchased 5 sets of these chairs to match my new dining room table.The chairs are a medium tone cherry finish and the finish on them looks great.The seats were comfortable and it was sturdy enough to lean back in, but I wouldn't put too much weight on it.The packaging was very good, but what I didn't like was the complete lack of good instructions.There were no written instructions, just 4 pictures giving you an idea of how to do it.I basically had to figure it out on my own.Once assembled, all the chairs had a little wobble to them, but it's unnoticeable when sitting.The manufacturers did cut some corners because if you turn the chair upside down, you'll see a lot of unpolished wood and cut-outs for assembly.

I bought these chairs because of the look, the size and the price.

This is a very pretty counter height dining table and chairs.I was very happy that the color was more of a rich darker color than shown in the picture.I took a snapshot with flash of the set after it was put together, and it showed the same as in the picture on Amazon.If you are looking for a darker wood, do not discount this.It just matches the color and style of my coffee and end tables.I am very pleased with the quality of the set for the price, and I have ordered two more chairs.It took awhile to put it all together, and I had help from my brother.The instructionsare clear, but it doesn't state that you have to place the base a certain direction so that the top of the base pieces fit properly for the holes. Of course, if you look carefully at the picture in the instructions, you can see the direction.Make sure to screw off the plastic end tips on the already placed screws before trying to assemble.The cushions on the chairs are soft and comfortable and a neutral dark taupe.The customer service was outstanding when I emailed them.I got an automatic response they received my email and then I got a personal email later on.

I was so excited to get this set.When it arrived I could not wait to put it together.The table only needed the legs and center piece.Once I had attached three of the legs and was working on the fourth I couldn't get the holes to line up.I kept trying to figure out what the problem was.Then, there it was.A piece that the company screwed in and had glued to the table was in the wrong place.It was about an inch or 1 1/2" too close to where the leg should be placed.After all of the trouble I had getting it out of to three boxes it was in and the bubble wrap etc.I was not about to repack it and ship this back so I had to get someone over who could pry the wood piece up and screw it in the proper place.After that there was no problem getting the leg attached.

It would've been nice if there were some sort of covering on the outside portion where the legs are.I wish I had looked the image closer.

The chairs weren't that easy to put together.It took forever to get all of the holes lined up to place to the screws.One chair I could not get all six to line up and two screws are still missing.

Well wrapped/secured!

All and all it is a nice looking table however I had way to much trouble with it.

The table and chairs were a decent buy. There were a few scratches on the under-side of the table, but nothing too crazy or noticeable. The directions to put this together were not very clear, but if you are someone who is naturally good with putting things together, you'll probably be okay. The chairs were a real pain to put together and they don't provide you with enough glue - we had to go out and buy some more. Be sure you have a mallet handy or you will not be putting the chairs together until you have one. The finished product looks nice in my kitchen and overall I am satisfied. I do think it should be a little cheaper than it is priced however!

We love these chairs! I have wanted to purchase a set of Ghost chairs for some time, since they are stylish but take up very little visual space. The price, however, was very off-putting. I was happy to find Baxton's (very similar, yet much less expensive) set. The shipping was free and they arrived one day prior to the expected delivery date. My husband had been nervous about the chairs and worried that they would be uncomfortable or too period-specific, decor-wise. After unwrapping and cleaning them off, however, we both love them.

After using them for a week, we found them to be very comfortable, light, sturdy, and perfect for the small room in which they are placed.

They are not seamless; the joins for the acrylic molds are visible in the arms and back supports, just above the seat. I doubt anyone other than the would notice. The bottom of the legs are wide enough to place a medium-sized felt protector on, should you have floors you wish to protect.

6 "new" Parson Chairs Brown Leatherette With Cherry Legs Review

(The heading of 10 chairs on this review is incorrect; I ordered/got 6)The chairs were perfect, my only complaint was that they arrived past the latest promised date; it took weeks to get them. Delays from the warehouse or distributer. However, the company readily admitted the problem and were approachable and responsive. I had a few questions which they addressed quickly. Why does the description include "NEW" in quotes? Because Amazon sells both new and used items. Yes, these are indeed new. They are a deep dark chocolate brown. The quality is great, with nice detail in the stitching/roll seam on back. Aesthetically, I wouldn't say they're 100% the typical straight back Parson style, as there is a slight flare out at the top, but it's a nice line. They were packaged remarkably well, 2 to a box and seriously easy to assemble. The parts fit together like a dream. The seats are very thick and comfortable. I'd be hard pressed to differentiate between leatherette and leather in this case. You can't beat the price, either; I looked.

The shipment of these chairs arrived promptly.They were well packaged to prevent damage during shipment, as well.Assembly instructions were clear and easy to follow.The shape and height of the chair backs make them very comfortable.The only thing that surprised me was the pattern on the seat cushions (small gold-ish yellow and white checks) which wasn't at all clear on any of the pictures on the website and not something I'd normally choose.They looked tan in the pictures.My initial thought was that the seats could be easily recovered with another fabric and a staple gun but as I've gotten used to them, they are actually very neutral and subtle and can blend well with most any decor.The "oak" colored wood blends well with the "real" oak table we use with them, so I have no problem with the fact that the wood, itself, is not oak.The wood is well finished and should hold up well to our rambunctious family.One feature that appealed to me is that these chairs are not overly large (wide), so you can get more of them around a table than you could if they were the size of many of the other chairs we considered.They are plenty wide and comfortable for the normal backside.

Carolina Classic Winslow Pedestal Table, Antique Black Review

Let me start this by saying that I'm codependent on reviews.I rarely, if ever, buy a product that doesn't have at least 10 reviews detailing every possible flaw/joy of a product.I had been looking for a black pedestal table for my one bedroom apartment.I have limited space in the dining room, and I didn't want an overpowering table taking up my precious square footage.

Amazon has a lot of black pedestal tables to choose from, but this one always caught my eye because the pedestal appeared more delicately curved.It was more "girlie".I liked what I saw, but there were no reviews for it.After four months of online stalking it, I bit the bullet, and decided to just buy it.
It was easy to put together.Although rather than the screwdriver recommendation the assembly instructions gave, I used a power drill to assemble the table top to the pedestal. There were no pre-drilled holes for the pedestal to connect to the table top, so I think using a regular screwdriver might be a tad hard for assembly. Good size, not too small, not overpowering for a small space.

It came packaged pretty well - a box inside a box.There were two minor scratches on the corners, but a black paint pen made them invisible. The one downside is the table color is very "flat" not glossy. It does show scratches - which wouldn't be great if you had kids. I took the back of my fingernail and lightly scratched the surface, my nail didn't break the wood but it did show a line where my fingernail had been. I tried to polish it out, but I can still see it at an angle. Without placemats, I think it would look pretty scratched up in a few months. So...keep that in mind.

Walker Edison 5-Piece Solid Wood Dining Set Review

This product arrived with a couple of the wrong pieces.I contacted the company directly and they sent the correct pieces immediately.The table is slightly taller than I expected (about two inches taller than other dining room tables - which doesn't sound like much, but is a bit unusual looking, although some have commented that it looks like better quality or more sophisicated because of this).The reason I give it five stars even with the shipping mistake and its height is because it is solid wood -- or sure feels like it.It is durable, heavy duty and extremely stable.I'm impressed with the quality for the price and would definitely recommend it.
